Heute erleben wir also den ursprünglich geplanten Tag auf den Malediven. Es soll in ein Resort zum Schnorcheln gehen.
Ich freue mich riesig darauf, endlich nochmal zu schnorcheln! Unser Resort heißt Adaaran Vadoo und ist ca. 1 Stunde mit dem Zubringer-Boot entfernt.
Der Tag startet früh, denn um 07:30 Uhr werden wir bereits im Theater erwartet, um das Tenderboot für den Ausflugsstart an der Male-Anlegestelle zu erwischen.
Leider ist der Himmel heute sehr bewölkt und als wir das Tenderboot verlassen, fängt es kräftig an zu regnen. So hatte ich mir das heute eigentlich nicht vorgestellt.
Als wir dann nach einer Stunde Fahrt auf der Insel ankommen, tröpfelt es zwar nur noch ein bisschen, aber weder das Resort an sich noch der Ausblick vom Strand können so richtig überzeugen. Wir gucken direkt auf einen Tanker, der vermutlich Sand abpumpt. Glücklicherweise ist heute Freitag und damit in muslimischen Staaten arbeitsfrei, sonst hätten wir wahrscheinlich auch noch die passende Geräuschkulisse dazu geliefert bekommen.
Wie schade, ich hatte mir so einen Aitutaki-Strand erträumt.
Wir suchen uns zwei Liegen und erkunden das Wasser – reichlich felsig, ein paar Korallen und am Ende des Riffes können wir dann aber auch noch ein paar tolle Fische erschnorcheln. Leider hat unsere schon bekannte Billo-Unterwasserkamera nicht die allerbeste Bildqualität, aber in der Realität sind die Fische und Korallen wirklich ein Traum !
Je später es wird, desto mehr Schiffsverkehr herrscht auch zwischen den verschiedenen Inseln und kurz vor Schluss unseres Aufenthalts erwischen uns – und mich besonders – dann noch die heftigen Wellen, die zwei Schnellboote hintereinander erzeugt haben. Da ich gerade relativ ungünstig in eher felsigem Areal stehe, werde ich umgerissen und über die scharfen Steine und Korallenriffe geschleift.
Als ich mich endlich wieder aufrichten kann, habe ich sehr fiese Abschürfungen an Armen, Händen, Beinen und Füßen. Detlef hat auch so ein paar Schrammen davongetragen.
Die wunderschönen Fische können mich nur ein wenig über die schmerzhaften Erinnerungen hinwegtrösten. Aber auch ohne diese „Souvenirs“ bin ich nicht so begeistert von dem Resort, werde aber von einigen Malediven Experten belehrt, dass dieses Resort definitiv nicht den Standard der sonstigen Urlaubsatolle wiederspiegelt.
Aber für ein paar nette Urlaubsschnappschüsse reicht es dann doch noch
Und in der Tat abends zeigen uns unsere Tischnachbarn, die sich für satte 1.800 Euro einen Overnight-Aufenthalt in einem anderen Resort gegönnt haben, jede Menge Fotos, die mein ursprünglich angedachtes Bild von den Malediven sofort bestätigen.
Tja, so hatten wir nun am ersten Tag auf den Malediven unerwartet einen grandiosen privaten Ausflug und der zweite Tag, auf den ich mich so gefreut hatte, war eher mittelmäßig . Wenn auch geführt von 2 unserer Lieblingsmitarbeiter vom Ausflugsteam, mit denen man auch immer einen prima Schwatz halten kann.
Ich werde jetzt versuchen, meine Wunden irgendwie zu pflegen, auch wenn ich keine Ahnung habe, wie ich liegen oder sitzen soll, denn sobald irgendetwas die offenen Stellen berührt, könnte ich losjaulen.
Glücklicherweise gibt es jetzt 2 Seetage bevor wir auf den Seychellen ankommen und ich wieder in einigermaßen festes Schuhwerk mit Socken muss, um unseren dort geplanten Ausflug anzutreten.
